INGREDIENT:
Each hard capsule contains:
Sulpiride………………………..50 mg
Excipients: Microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate... just enough for 1 tablet.
POINT:
- Short-term treatment of anxiety symptoms in adults when they do not respond to standard treatments.
- Psychosomatic manifestations of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.
DOSAGE - HOW TO USE:
- Short-term treatment of anxiety symptoms in adults: 50 - 150 mg/day, maximum 4 weeks.
- Psychosomatic manifestations of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer: take 1 pill/time, 3 times a day.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Pheochromocytoma, acute porphyria.
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the drug.
- Prolactin-dependent tumors such as pituitary adenoma and breast cancer.
- Combined with levodopa.
SPECIAL NOTES AND PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING:
- Use caution when using in the elderly due to high sensitivity to the drug.
- The drug is excreted by the kidneys, dosage should be carefully reduced and continuous treatment should not be used in patients with severe renal failure.
- Patients with epilepsy should be closely monitored because the drug can reduce the seizure threshold.
- Can be used but must be used with caution in Parkinson's patients.
Keep out of reach of CHILDREN.
USE FOR PREGNANCY AND LACTATION WOMEN:
- Pregnant women: Limit use during pregnancy and need to reduce dosage at the end of pregnancy.
- Excretion in breast milk is about 1/1000 of the daily dose.
DRUG INTERACTIONS, OTHER FORM OF INTERACTIONS:
- Contraindicated in combination with levodopa due to competitive antagonism. If sulpiride is necessary, the patient must discontinue levodopa.
- Avoid drinking alcohol or drinks containing alcohol because it increases the sedative effect of sulpiride.
- Note when combining with antihypertensive drugs: increases the antihypertensive effect and causes postural hypotension.
- Be careful when using with antidepressants, H1 antihistamines , barbiturates, sedatives, clonidine, and sleeping pills because they cause increased central nervous system depression.
EFFECTS ON ABILITY TO DRIVE AND OPERATE MACHINERY:
Sulpiride may reduce the patient's reflexes. Therefore, be careful when driving or operating dangerous machinery.
UNWANTED EFFECTS:
- Cardiovascular: postural hypotension. There are cases of QT prolongation and ventricular arrhythmia, which can lead to cardiac arrest and sudden death.
- Endocrine: Hyperprolactinemia, amenorrhea, galactorrhea, gynecomastia in men.
- Like other sedatives, sulpiride can cause malignant syndrome and weight gain.
- Hepatobiliary: very rarely increased liver enzymes.
- Nervous system: drowsiness, drowsiness, insomnia; extrapyramidal symptoms; Tardive dyskinesia with prolonged use.
Inform your doctor of any unwanted effects you encounter when using the drug.
OVERDOSAGE - TREATMENT:
Signs of overdose are signs of movement disorders.
Treatment is supportive and symptomatic.
